[RL with Justin and Kid]
Giriko had to admit that it had taken him a bit of time to get his head back on straight after the last couple of revelations and events.
But even though he couldn't actually remember much of his drunken conversation with Henry a couple of nights ago, he felt better. He felt a little bit like a decision had been made, or at least that Henry had his back, which was more than he ever would have expected - and a lot more than he probably deserved.
So it was frustrating to him that Justin hadn't magically gotten over his issues at the exact moment that Giriko had. With Justin avoiding him and only talking to him as much as he was required to do in Team Meetings with His Fucking High Noahness and his little cocksucker, life at the headquarters was a lot more boring than it should be. And it was Justin who'd wanted him there so bad in the first place!
That fact was giving Giriko a pretty damn good idea, all on its own.
He knocked on Justin's door, pounding pretty hard so the priest couldn't claim not to have heard it. And if Justin ignored it anyway, he was fully prepared to kick the damn thing in.

Stage one of Operation Get-Justin-The-Fuck-Over-Himself had been completed.
Now it was time for stage two.

"Do you really have to continue to bring that up? I wouldn't think you liked the idea of getting overpowered by someone a fraction of your age."
no subject
He took another step. "But seems to me that that virus may have made ya horny, but it didn't pick who you'd go after for you. Which makes me wonder - why me?"
no subject
He continued to stand his ground, ignoring how close Giriko was starting to get. "I figure it's because you were the closest target. And-" Justin bit the inside of his lip, not really meaning to let that 'and' slip. But now he said it and he seriously doubted Giriko would let that slide. "And I think I remembered the first night you got here, when you commandeered my bed, and figured it meant something."
no subject
His eyes lit up at that 'and', and his smile widened as Justin continued. "Oh yeah? You figured it meant somethin'. Or maybe you knew it was 'cause I was fuckin' tired and didn't have a bed - but you hoped it meant something."
He reached out as he spoke, intending to catch Justin by the back of the neck and curl his fingers in his short blond hair.
no subject
"Don't be ridiculous. Listening to you snore is not my idea of a good evening. Obviously I was talking about my thought process during the virus." That slight pink tint now coloring Justin's face was all in Giriko's head, if he even bothered noticing at all.
no subject
"Obviously," he said sarcastically, his fingers tightening in Justin's hair. "God, you're fulla shit."
He leaned closer to kiss him, hoping he wasn't about to get a blade in his gut.
no subject
He didn't lean in closer to Giriko either, though, making sure that the chainsaw was clear that the kiss hadn't been his idea, even if he wasn't fighting against it.
no subject
He drew the kiss out, his other hand slipping around to the small of Justin's back as he slid his tongue into Justin's mouth. His tongue ring added a little bit of extra stimulation as he deepened the kiss.
no subject
He pulled back, though didn't try to shake off Giriko's hands, looking uncharacteristically shell-shocked for a second before recomposing himself and insisting that the pounding in his ears must have just been from the bass coming out of his headphones. "We still have that meeting. We're already late." Justin couldn't quite imagine what he was going to say their reason for being so late was. 'Sorry, we were making out a little bit in my room' didn't seem like the right thing to say somehow.
no subject
He had him. He knew he did.
"Fuck the meeting," he growled, and leaned forward to continue the kiss.
no subject
"Later. Noah shouldn't keep us for too long." He could scarcely believe he let himself say that aloud, but he only said it because he was fairly certain that it was the only way to convince Giriko to let them leave.
no subject
"Yeah...okay. Later." He gave Justin another quick kiss, a promise for later, then drew back and turned away.
"Hey," he said casually, as he stepped into the hall. "You ever heard of people's souls gettin' hurt? I mean, like...breaking?"
no subject
"Is there a particular reason you're asking? Because I doubt you could somehow attack someone by doing that." Justin doubted that there was much that could warrant that much damage. He turned his head to read Giriko's answer as he continued to walk.
no subject
"Some asshole told me that was gonna happen to me," he said. "Like...that I was gonna fight some Shibusen guys, but my soul was gonna break and I was gonna die."
Immediately after saying it, he felt like a fool. This was his problem to solve, not Justin's. And besides, telling someone something like that...wouldn't it make him look weak? If he couldn't even fight a couple of kids without his soul breaking apart, he was useless. Noah would probably throw him away.
He clenched his fist and glared down the hallway as he walked, his shoulders slightly hunched as he brooded over it.
no subject
"So don't fight them," he said at last. It was an obvious solution, but it was also probably the best one. "You can avoid it, can't you?"
no subject
"I guess so," he said. "But what the fuck am I supposed to do instead? I mean, I want to kill those assholes!"
no subject
With that, he continued walking, figuring the matter was settled.
no subject
He still wasn't sure what he'd done to earn Justin's...appreciation. But he was growing more and more happy that he had it. Despite his words during his recent bender, he really did have two people who did, possibly, care if he lived or died. Even if it were just a little.
He didn't dare say anything to acknowledge Justin's words, but he slung an arm around the younger man's shoulders briefly instead, giving him a squeeze that might have even looked affectionate, if one didn't know his nature.
It was an acknowledgement, and a signal of appreciation. He was pretty sure Justin would get the message.
no subject
By the time they reached Noah, however, Justin made sure that they weren't too close to each other; Noah seemed like he would be the type to exploit any sort of information he could get his hands on. The meeting itself was quick and painless; new orders, kill little miss Albarn, that would hardly prove to be difficult.
Giriko on the other hand had been assigned shinigami-sitting duty for the next few hours. Evidently Woodchuck's - or whatever his name was - bitch slapping hand had gotten tired and needed a break. Justin hung around, not really sure if he should go back to his room or keep Giriko company for the duration of his shift.
no subject
He sat up with a bit more interest as Noah gave him his assignment. He'd been curious about talking to the Shinigami kid ever since he arrived, but hadn't wanted to talk to him while Gopher was around.
Noticing that Justin was hanging around, he met his eyes and smirked widely, then jerked his head slightly. Then he turned to head towards the room where the Shinigami was being kept.
no subject
At the moment the little Shinigami was sleeping as best he could, head tilted at an odd angle so it was leaning on one of his raised arms. He didn't stir when the two men entered the room, his exhaustion allowing him to sleep soundly despite the awkward angle of his neck.
no subject
He glanced at Justin, assessing him with curiosity. Justin had been at Shibusen for a long time, hadn't he? Maybe he and the little Shinigami had been friends before the little brat helped to invade Giriko's home and kill his Mistress. How would he feel about this?
Giriko slapped Kid hard across the face. "Wakey wakey, brat."
no subject
The side of his lip curled into a smirk. "No wonder you couldn't protect Arachne if that's how you hit." Truthfully it hurt like hell, but he couldn't admit that.
Justin remained quiet, trying to not draw too much attention to himself. He wasn't too sure he wanted Kid to notice him and officially declare him a traitor. But he didn't know Kid that well, either. He'd pretended to be his friend but other than that, he knew nothing about him.
